SPQR

I had an outstanding experience today at San Francisco’s SPQR. I ordered the 2-course menu and asked my server to choose a wine pairing for each. Most people can cook; very few can make food like this.

I do not have a “bucket list”, but this is the first time I’ve eaten at a Michelin-starred restaurant and now I can say I’ve done that.

Biscuit and jam
Erbazzone torta, sweet carrot, cremini mushroom and herb marscapone
Chestnut pasta timballo, Brussels sprout and winter squash
Pavlova, red wine poached pear, vanilla cream and olio nuovo
