Today the ski patrol at Vail implemented its “apocalypse protocol”. That’s really what it’s called. A storm that began yesterday dumped lots of snow at Vail. The snow was so deep in one of the bowls that skiers and snowboarders were sinking and getting stuck. Among those that patrollers rescued was a snowboarder buried up to his chest.
