Because so many everyday activities seem odd these days, my visit to Lineage Coffee at the East End Market was refreshingly normal. Putting an espresso bar outdoors seemed perfectly logical on a nice day like today. The outdoor seating inherently meets “social distancing“ rules which means there’s no need for strange table configurations that create a constant subtle atmosphere of strangeness. A couple of people in face masks is no big deal; it’s like being in Korea or Japan even before the pandemic.
