We have a couple of items today from North Korea. First, Radio Free Asia reports that residents in North Hamgyong province are on edge as North Korean officials ruthlessly investigate how a thumb drive with the Netflix show Squid Game was smuggled into the country. The smuggler has been sentenced to death and students who are minors have been sentenced to prison for watching the program. Teachers and administrators at the students’ school have lost their jobs and face internal exile, and an RFA source says this is not the end of the investigation.
