I only recently came across this, Skaterdater, credited with being the first skateboarding movie. The 1965 movie won a Palme d’Or for best short film at the Cannes Film Festival and aired on ABC Television’s Studio 67 anthology series in 1967. According to the internet, the movie is well regarded by film scholars and influenced subsequent skate video makers.
